Ecologist
Devon & Cornwall | GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 DOE | Full-Time | Permanent

An established ecological consultancy based in the South West is looking for an experienced Ecologist to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a region known for its coast, countryside, and quality of life.

The Role

You'll be involved in a broad mix of projects, from small-scale developments to renewable energy and infrastructure. The role includes field surveys, report writing, and liaising directly with clients. You'll have the flexibility to manage your own time, with support from a collaborative and experienced team.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct ecological surveys (e.g. PEAs, bats, reptiles)
  2. Write clear, well-structured reports
  3. Coordinate with clients and colleagues to plan and deliver work
  4. Travel primarily across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset

About You
  1. At least 3 years of experience in ecological consultancy
  2. Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and policy
  3. Full UK driving licence
