Job description

Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist / Clinical Scientist - Echocardiography

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist or Clinical Scientist with full BSE accreditation to join the Echocardiography team at our client's Community Diagnostic Centre, located at their Acute Hospital site in beautiful Bath, Somerset.

This hospital is an award-winning facility, led by some of the South-West's most experienced consultants, supported by 24/7 RMO on-site. Rated outstanding for caring, this centre of excellence was a long-established independent sector hospital acquired by the NHS in June 2021.

This is a part-time, permanent position (28 hours per week).

Responsibilities:

1. Performing Echocardiograms with full reporting.
2. Conducting other non-invasive tests as required.
3. Involvement in consumable and equipment care.
4. Working independently is essential.

Facilities:

• 28 en-suite inpatient beds, 22 day-case beds, and 5 ambulatory care beds.
• Facilities include 9 consulting rooms, 4 operating theatres (2 with laminar flow), a JAG-accredited Endoscopy suite, a dedicated cardiology suite, and intervention treatment room.
• Physiotherapy department with gym and four treatment rooms.
• Digital diagnostic unit including CT, MRI, General X-ray, and Ultrasound.

Person Requirements:

1. Qualified Cardiac Physiologist with UK AHCS registration and BSE accreditation.
2. At least three years post-registration experience, including one year in UK-based practice.
3. Proficient in performing transthoracic echocardiograms with full reporting.
4. Experience supporting junior staff.
5. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
6. High clinical standards with strong attention to detail.
