Assessment Officer (EHC Coordinator). You'll play a vital role in coordinating Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments and drafting outcome-focused, high-quality EHC Plans that support children and young people across the region.

The salary range for this perm position is £31,283 - £37,181
Main Responsibilities:
- Draft and amend Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with statutory frameworks (Children and Families Act, SEND Code of Practice)
- Coordinate multi-agency input into EHC assessments
- Ensure completion of EHC processes within the 20-week statutory timeframe
- Provide technical advice and support to parents and carers throughout the EHCP process
- Maintain clear communication and accurate records of case progress and stakeholder interactions
- Use the SEN database in line with Council protocols to manage and track cases
- Support quality assurance of advice and plans
- Liaise with professionals and services to identify needs and ensure child-focused outcomes
Requirements:
- Experience in SEND services or EHC planning
- Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act
- Excellent organisational, communication, and data management skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work in a multi-agency environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
