Job description

c£40000pa plus overtime

Our client is a global leading manufacturer who are looking for a Tool Maintenance Toolmaker to join their well-established team.

As part of the tool maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of High cavitation Injection Moulds. The work can be very varied, so you must be skilled at using a variety of Manual and CNC Machining Techniques to repair and refurbish Plastic Injection Moulds.

The Job
  1. Using a variety of machinery to assess and repair damage to Plastic Injection Moulds
  2. Assembly and disassembly of high cavitation injection moulds
  3. Critical spare parts management
  4. Using repairs and maintenance planning software to prioritise work
  5. Heavily involved with the tool pre-planned maintenance and refurbishment program of work
  6. Manage internal customer expectations for mould repairs and refurbishment
  7. Maximising machine capacity to reduce lead times for tool repair and maintenance
  8. Working closely with the production team to help meet the demands of 24/7 manufacturing
  9. Be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and those around them
  10. Communicate effectively to enhance an already strong team spirit
  11. Diligence is paramount, with an ability to work under pressure and to stringent timeframes whilst remaining calm and focused
About You
  1. Must have experience working in a similar role within an engineering function
  2. Experience in the repair of injection mould manifold systems
  3. Must have experience as a toolmaker in plastic injection moulding
  4. Knowledge on the repair and maintenance of injection mould manifold systems - specifically HUSKY or MoldMaster systems
