Expleo has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Solutions Architect. The role involves being assigned to a new project, where you will be responsible for defining the CAD strategy and roadmap based on business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Understand the current and forecast CAD systems, data usage, and processes.
2. Define the ongoing CAD strategy / Roadmap for the client.
3. Understand the business requirements and pain points.
4. Understand the technical requirements for business and IT.
5. Understand the functional and technical data and system integration requirements.
6. Understand the various vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps.
7. Coordinate with the business and influence them into using the most appropriate tool / application for each type of data.
8. Create metrics for the CAD tools (tool comparison).
9. Analyze data types in use across the business, including but not limited to Mechanical Components, Electrical/EC&I Components & Wiring, Civil Components, PI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework / HVAC), Model Based Definitions.
10. Understand and recommend the consumption of CAD data for: Bill of Manufacture (BOM), Bill of Process (BOP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Essential Skills

• An excellent understanding of CAD systems data usage, creation, and technical/data integration to downstream IT systems.
• Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive CAD strategy.
• Deep understanding of Building Information Management processes, federated models, levels of detail, and visualization in CAD models.
• Excellent project management skills.

Experience

• Several years' experience using enterprise CAD systems.
• Experience implementing CAD systems in an enterprise environment.
• Experience defining a CAD strategy / Roadmap for a large enterprise.
• Experience working with technical and engineering users to capture business and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps in CAD tools.
• Experience working with and influencing senior business users and managers.
• Experience with data types such as Mechanical Components, Electrical/EC&I Components & Wiring, Civil Components, PI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework / HVAC), Model Based Definitions, BOM, BOP, MES.
