Job description

Are you an experienced Emergency Practitioner (either Nurse or Paramedic), with a passion for delivering exceptional patient-focused care?

Are you a specialist in minor injury and/or minor illness management?

Do you have Level 7 minor injury/illness qualifications with proven experience at Band 6 in an urgent care centre/MIU/Emergency Department?

Our Minor Injury Units treat approximately 4,000 patients across the service per month, making a real difference by providing care closer to home and avoiding hospital admissions where appropriate.

Our GP Out of Hours services support the management of acute primary care illnesses when GP surgeries are closed. The role includes telephone triage, base visits, and home visiting.

As a Specialist Emergency Practitioner, you will be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with the skills to autonomously assess and treat patients in Urgent Care bases. You will have excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills, along with a passion to provide patient-centred care.

You will join a multidisciplinary team that prides itself on excellent teamwork and support, treating a diverse range of conditions, providing opportunities to extend your advanced skills in injury and illness management.

We will encourage your professional development through a supportive training and education program, including Non-Medical Prescribing and Level 7 Leadership, with a tailored development plan and competence portfolio.

The role involves working across a shift system, including weekends, bank holidays, and nights. We are happy to consider full or part-time hours on a permanent basis.
