Clinical Psychologist - Child & Adolescent Services

Full-Time; FTE 1.0

Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm

Moline, IL

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Robert Young Center (RYC) for Clinical Mental Health Outpatient Services, this individual will provide mental health assessment, intervention, psychological testing and interpretation and consultation to individuals and/or groups identified as having psychiatric disorders; plans treatment modalities, coordinates treatment plans and follows. This position works within the Child Diagnostic Clinic and will work primarily with children and adolescents ages 18 and under.

Responsibilities
  • Performs diagnostic assessments, collecting diagnostic information, determining immediate treatment plans for patients. Requests medical consultation, where indicated, in a diligent and timely manner.
  • Experience in psychometric/psychological testing with all age groups
  • Provides direct, intensive psychiatric therapy to individuals, families and/or groups identified as having psychiatric disorders.
  • Coordinates with Crisis Stabilization Unit and UnityPoint Health Mental Health Inpatient Unit for clients presenting that may be a danger to self or others.
  • Coordinates with UnityPoint Health medical departments for consultation related to providing guidance for treatment options.
  • Maintains records according RYC and accreditation standards MRO, CARF, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurances.

Qualifications

Education:

Must have a Ph.D; Psy.D, Ed.D. from an American Psychological Association accredited psychology program and completion of pre-doctoral internship.

Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience.

Experience working with children, adolescents and/or families in a clinical setting is preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Holds a current license from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation as a Clinical Psychologist.
