About Us: GCHQ is an intelligence, cyber, and security agency focused on safeguarding the UK through advanced technology, partnerships, and analysis to counter threats like terrorism, cyber-attacks, and espionage. We promote a supportive, inclusive environment emphasizing teamwork.
The Role: As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will protect the organization from various cyber threats such as malware, insider threats, DDoS attacks, and phishing. You must understand Windows and Linux OS, with at least 6 months of experience as a Cyber Security or SOC Analyst. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT teams are essential.
Training and Development: We support your growth through internal and external training, opportunities across cybersecurity specialisms, and industry qualifications like SANS and CISSP. Travel opportunities are available but not mandatory.
Rewards and Benefits: Starting salary of £44,044 plus benefits such as 25 days of annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years), public holidays, performance recognition, season ticket loan, pension scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, on-site facilities, and parental leave.

What to Expect: Our recruitment process involves application review, virtual interviews, and a conditional offer. The process may take 6-9 months, including vetting, so continue current employment until final offer.

The role is based in Cheltenham; relocation costs are not covered. Applications from outside the UK are not accepted. Discuss your application only with close contacts.
