Job Opportunity: Lead ERP Developer

We are partnered with a leading aerospace company in Cheltenham seeking a Lead ERP Developer to join their expanding team.

About the Role

The company manages its ERP system in-house, supporting all sites and departments, with plans to transition to IFS Cloud by late 2025 or early 2026. The ERP system is central to their operations and strategic growth.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in ERP system logic and methodologies
• Proficiency with IFS Apps 9/10
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and related IDEs
• Understanding of Business Intelligence tools, including PowerBI
• Experience with ERP upgrades and implementations
• Experience with IFS Cloud (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-management ability
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and plan strategically

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager and ERP DBA to deliver projects aligned with ERP strategy
• Lead the technical development and support of the ERP system
• Manage customization, configuration, and enhancement of IFS modules
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions
• Oversee internal management and maintenance of ERP system data
• Coordinate with the BI team regarding ERP and BI interdependencies
• Resolve system issues promptly to ensure optimal performance
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Mentor junior developers and ERP team members
• Stay updated on ERP upgrades, features, and industry best practices
