Job Purpose

An RP&IT Engineer is a key team member, utilizing their technical and professional experience to deliver optimal solutions for project support and R&D activities.

Main Responsibilities

To deliver optimal solutions for project support and R&D activities.

  • Ensure the quality of work issued is high and conforms to RP&IT and Group procedures.
  • Seek advice and input from Geotechnics Manager and Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer on challenging projects.
  • Promote experience and good practices throughout the TechnipFMC Group.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry developments.

Project Support

  • Serve as the main link between project management teams and RP&IT.
  • Coordinate with project management to understand work requests, ensure scope accuracy, and complete tasks within deadlines.

R&D

  • Manage ongoing R&D programs to ensure completion within schedule and budget.
Candidate Profile:

Typical Background & Experience:

A high-quality degree in Civil Engineering is required. A postgraduate degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering is preferred but not essential.
An RP&IT Geotechnical Engineer should be able to apply geotechnical principles to offshore engineering challenges faced by the group.

  • Interpret soil parameters from geotechnical & geophysical data.
  • Recommend site investigations, tests, and assessments.
  • Design subsea foundation structures according to ISO, DNVGL, or API standards.
  • Conduct pipeline-soil interaction assessments.
  • Perform trenching assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Meet customer needs and deliver within deadlines.
  • Drive results, seek continuous improvement, and challenge established practices.
  • Understand organizational strengths, weaknesses, and market position, and demonstrate global and local strategic thinking.
