An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client as they continue to expand the ECC services in their 24-hour hospital, providing seamless care for local practices. This role offers a fulfilling and varied caseload within a supportive hospital environment, allowing you to thrive in a dynamic emergency and critical care setting. This would suit either a vet who would like to learn emergency work or an experienced ECC vet who requires a non-night rota.
As an ECC vet, you will work on a rolling rota of four days on, four days off, ensuring an excellent work-life balance. The schedule consists of alternating day and twilight shifts, with no long night shifts as the dedicated night team handles overnight care. There is no sole charge, and you will be fully supported by a large team of RVNs, ACAs, and reception staff. With no on-call duties and a strong commitment to professional development, this role is perfect for those looking to enhance their clinical skills in a progressive hospital. Certificate study and further clinical training are fully supported, giving you the opportunity to grow within your role.
This Veterinary Hospital is a multi-disciplinary site that fosters collaboration between first opinion and ECC teams and invests heavily in both people and facilities, ensuring the highest standards of care. It features 24/7 inpatient care, a CT scanner, advanced ultrasonography, endosurgery facilities, extensive blood analysis equipment, dedicated theatres for orthopedic, soft tissue, and exotic cases, ECC wards, a dental suite, and in-house hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services.
Located in the stunning surroundings of South Wales, they provide the perfect setting for both work and leisure. This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience, with an average working week of 35.1 hours.
