Vets Now Hospital in Manchester is offering a 12-month ECC internship for veterinarians aiming to strengthen skills in emergency and critical care. The role is based in the ICU with a rolling rota and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• RCVS-recognised veterinary degree and eligibility/registration.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and record-keeping.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure with compassionate approach.
• Preferred: Small Animal Rotating Internship in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency and critical care under supervision.
• Manage ICU patients and emergency referrals across disciplines.
• Participate in case planning, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Engage in case discussions with clinicians and nurses.
• Contribute to research projects, seminars and journal clubs.
• Uphold high standards of clinical care and animal welfare.
