Interns will rotate through day, back, and night shifts, participate in seminars and journal clubs, and may pursue residency opportunities within Vets Now or partner hospitals.

Our Glasgow referral hospital offers a multi-disciplinary environment with EBVS residency programmes and discipline-specific internships across ECC, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, and Diagnostic Imaging.
We are now inviting applications for our Discipline-Specific Internship in Emergency and Critical Care at Vets Now Specialist Referrals, Glasgow.
This 13-month internship provides a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with our ECC specialist team, gaining hands-on experience in ICU and emergency referrals. Interns will rotate through day, back, and night shifts, with dedicated time for study, research, and collaboration with other specialties to enhance ECC-related skills.
Interns will engage in advanced patient care, supported by our experienced ICU nursing team and access to cutting-edge equipment, including mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy, and therapeutic plasma exchange.
Glasgow has a well-established residency programme, and discipline-specific interns will also be involved in organised teaching; This internship will put you in a strong postion to apply for any possible future residency opportunities both in Vets Now and over hospitals.
