What You’ll Be Doing:

Mobilise was engaged by CPS to undertake a discovery/proof-of-concept for a business intelligence/data warehouse over four years, with periods of re-prioritization. The project aimed to showcase an end-to-end capability aligned with CPS’s technology roadmap, using an agile approach to deepen understanding of organizational data and Microsoft technology stack, ultimately transforming the PoC into a fully supported production system through phased agile deliveries.

Skills & Experience:

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Create incremental dimensions to optimize processing and reduce costs.
• Enhance security by switching authentication methods between ADF and SQL Server using managed identities or service principals.
• Implement parallelism within ADF pipeline activities.
• Template pipeline elements to support ingestion of new datasets.

Azure SQL

• Integrate database access with Microsoft Entra ID for security.
• Implement STAR schemas on data models.
• Establish naming conventions for database objects.
• Transition data processing from Power BI to Azure SQL.
• Segregate data into multiple schemas or views; apply data masking and pseudonymisation techniques for data privacy.
