Job description

GLL, the UK’s largest leisure provider and one of the first and largest leisure social enterprises, is looking for Gymnastics Coaches based at Botwell Green Sports and Leisure Centre in Hayes, Middlesex, for our lessons and courses for children.

Role Overview: A Gymnastics Coach is a highly rewarding role as a key player in the 2012 Olympic legacy. Our gymnastics courses are more popular than ever. You should be passionate about gymnastics, live and breathe the sport, and want to share that passion with pupils and colleagues. Our coaches are versatile, with specializations in disciplines such as men’s and women’s artistic, rhythmic, trampoline, and acrobatic gymnastics.

Qualifications & Skills: You should be qualified to Level 1, 2, or 3 as an experienced gymnastics coach. You’ll thrive on seeing others develop, and as your courses and lessons will be your own to lead and plan, you’ll influence their success and growth. Creativity, safety, and the ability to think on your feet are essential. We offer opportunities for career development and upskilling within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality gymnastics lessons across various levels
• Ensure lessons are safe, enjoyable, and progressive
• Observe and support pupils’ development and safety
• Complete registers and assessments using GLL IPods
• Assist with equipment setup, warm-ups, and cool-downs
• Support the assessment process and provide feedback to parents

Additional Duties:

• Experience regular pool rotations and supervise the pool area
• Deal with customer queries and maintain cleanliness and safety standards
• Level 1 coaches aged 18+ may be responsible for overall lesson delivery
