Job Overview

As a Machine Operator, you will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring high-quality products for our customers. Your work will directly impact people's lives. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Making accurate setups, ensuring Tombstones and fixtures are clean and burr-free, checking tools for proper gauge length and diameter, and ensuring tools are not dull or chipped.
  2. Operating milling machines, CNC machines, routing machines, lathes, drill presses, forming rolls, and other shop equipment, using hand tools and precision instruments.
  3. Reading and interpreting part and tool drawings to produce machined parts.
  4. Calculating optimal feed and speed rates for productivity and quality.
  5. Checking machine alignment and performing proofing/first article runs.
  6. Understanding and using machine code (G codes, M codes) and MDI for manual operations.
  7. Following setup sheets, tooling instructions, and dimensional aids.
  8. Using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other tools to verify dimensional quality.
  9. Maintaining tooling and fixtures to ensure quality and longevity.
  10. Inspecting products post-machining to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  11. Adhering to safety procedures, maintaining housekeeping, and reporting hazards.
  12. Performing TPM and 5S daily.
  13. Attending training sessions as required.
  14. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience with 5-Axis CNC machines (3-5 years)
  • Proficiency in G-Code programming (3-5 years)
  • Understanding of five-axis machine motion and interpretation of axial tool movement
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Excellent teamwork, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning skills
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and use measurement tools
  • Problem-solving, self-motivation, time management, and communication skills
