Dales Marine Services is a well-established and successful local and national provider of Ship Repair, Fabrication, and Engineering services for the offshore oil industry.

Due to continued growth, expansion, and long-term contracts, we are looking to expand our skilled team.

Requirement

The HSEQ Assistant Coordinator supports the HSEQ team with administration and compliance tasks related to the daily operations of the HSEQ department across all sites. They report directly to the site HSEQ Advisor and QA Coordinator. The role involves providing support to the HSEQ team, performing office administration, and assisting in workshop and quayside activities as directed. The assistant will help implement quality systems, adhere to company policies and procedures, and promote health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with contractor inductions
  • Conducting morning PTW checks and advising on completion
  • Supporting simultaneous operations identification
  • Filing daily PTWs
  • Issuing HAV watches daily
  • Setting up machinery packs with risk assessments, pre-use checks, and maintenance schedules
  • Supporting safety culture inspections
  • Assisting with online training
  • Conducting monthly fire extinguisher checks
  • Weekly first aid, fire alarm, and metal working fluid checks
  • Monthly T-card, machinery, and emergency lighting checks
  • Assisting with audit paperwork
  • Supporting the HSEQ Advisor and QA Coordinator with additional tasks
  • Promoting a safe working culture and the company's 'stop the job' policy
  • Contributing to the zero-accident and zero waste to landfill objectives
  • Assisting with the maintenance of ISO standards
