Job Description
We are looking for bright and enthusiastic Associates/Assistant Managers interested in gaining M&A tax experience.
Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Tax team provides a full spectrum of tax services to private equity, funds, deals, and portfolio companies on domestic and international transactions.
We advise mid-market private equity firms and large corporates on deal values from millions to over £1 billion, supporting the entire deal lifecycle from proposal to post-deal advice.
This role involves technical tax application, client interaction, and interpersonal skills within a fast-moving environment. TAS Tax is a small, growing team with opportunities for responsibility and development.
For internal employees, secondment opportunities of 6+ months are considered. We support flexible working, reduced hours, and job shares to help balance work, study, and life.
Role overview:
As part of the TAS Tax team, you will provide tax structuring advice and undertake tax due diligence on buy-side and sell-side transactions, including public company transactions on AIM and the London Stock Exchange.
You will work across various sectors and support senior colleagues in client discussions, due diligence meetings, data review, and report preparation. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
You will also prepare proposals, manage project budgets, and produce technical research using legislation and guidance.
Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate has UK tax experience and is ATT/ACA/CTA qualified or part-qualified. Skills that are beneficial include:
Our culture:
We foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and individual contributions. Our open culture encourages interaction with leaders and supports bringing your whole self to work.
Beyond work:
We support flexible working to help balance work and personal life. Your impact extends beyond your role, including secondments, charity work, and supporting entrepreneurs globally. Our values drive us to act purposefully, stay curious, and be candid yet kind.
We seek individuals eager to contribute, innovate, and uphold integrity—doing what’s right for the firm, clients, and themselves. That’s how it should be.
