Job Description:

Join our busy Independent Living team during an exciting transformation of our services to a new operating model starting 3rd April 2023. We are seeking an Assistant Independent Living Partner for the Bracknell area on a 3-month fixed-term contract, working 20 hours per week.

You will manage housing functions in designated schemes for older people, acting as the first contact for tenancy and scheme management. Your role includes supporting residents with welfare contacts, referring them to appropriate services, managing the social alarm system, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also foster resident involvement and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, flexibility, and an understanding of older people's needs and independence promotion. A strong knowledge of housing issues, IT confidence, and the ability to work independently are essential. This role involves lone working, travel within the region, and occasional out-of-hours emergency response. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required. Flexibility to work one weekend in four is necessary.
