Job Title: Trainee Software Engineer

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 4th June 2025

About the role
  • Participates in the development and design of technical solutions, managing own workload.
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring that all code meets Royal London Group standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technologies.
  • Encourages close collaboration with other disciplines within the team.
  • Takes an active role in the transfer of knowledge and sharing of experiences relating to own area of technical expertise at practice level.
About you
  • Beginner level knowledge / practical development experience in .Net and VBA.
  • Pensions and Actuarial knowledge.
  • Awareness of Agile working practices.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with and support colleagues.
  • Passionate about working in a modern and inclusive culture.
  • Able to communicate at all levels in an engaging and collaborative manner.
