£20 - £30 Per Hour, dependent on experience.

Are you looking for a role that supports children currently out of education? Do you want the freedom to manage your own diary and the ability to tailor teaching to meet the individual s needs?

About the role

Connex Education is looking for experienced Qualified Teacher to join our Home Tuition team for an exciting opportunity working with a child who is currently out of education.

This flexible role allows you to manage your own schedule while working closely with a student outside of a traditional classroom environment, giving you a unique chance to directly witness the impact of your teaching on their learning progress.

The student has a diagnosis of ASD and PICA, they have been out of Education since June 2024. This student requires a play-based curriculum to be able to engage in learning, experience with this style of teaching would be ideal. The individual can access and thrive in their learning through one-to-one interactions and needs a personalized approach to their learning, where being outdoors can be incorporated within their sessions where possible.

Tuition will take place within the student s home and will typically consist of three to four sessions a week. We are seeking a teacher who will be able to provide a calm, nurturing environment, whilst fostering the development of the student s confidence and skill set.

Assignment Details

This role will start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the academic year.

Person Specification

• QTS / QTLS or equivalent
• Previous experience working with SEN Students would be desirable.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
• An outstanding practitioner with high expectations.
• Driving license (Preferred).
