Job description

Exciting opportunity for a vet to join us in our brand new practice, opening Spring 2025! Salary £40,000-£65,000 FTE depending on experience. No OOH.

Become a part of our journey at our new £1.1 million site on either a full or part-time basis and join our fantastic clinical team of 2 vets, 4 RVNs, and 1 PCA. We are committed to building a forward-thinking practice where staff wellbeing and progression are just as important as providing exceptional client and patient care, and we are looking for another team member who shares our values to join us!

With separate X-Ray and dental X-Ray suites, 2 state of the art operating theatres, 4 consult rooms, and all the feline friendly facilities you could want, our new site is an opportunity for us to offer the very best standard in first opinion care. Visiting advanced practitioners in surgery and imaging provide opportunities for keeping more complex cases in-house where appropriate, and strong links with local referral centres give the opportunity to follow referred cases through their hospital if desired.

We know that ‘work life balance' means something different to everyone, so we are offering genuinely flexible hours with the rare opportunity to design a rota that works for you, whatever that may be.

We want all our team members to reach their full potential, and this means that clinical interests and career development in whatever direction you choose will be genuinely supported. As a member of CVS, we have the ability to invest in our team, and staff are encouraged to take full advantage of all the benefits that corporate employment brings.

We are proud of all of our benefits that are available to our colleagues, and here's a flavour of them:

  • Relocation allowance if applicable
  • Professional memberships support (RCVS & VDS)
  • Knowledge Hub - your learning is important to us!
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays (or equivalent), plus the option to purchase an additional two weeks leave per year with our Buy/Sell holiday scheme
  • Long Service Holiday – receive 1 extra day leave each year in your first 5 years at CVS
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Mental Health first aiders - our people are at the heart of what we do, and your health & wellbeing matters!
  • Maternity/Adoption Pay – 10 weeks full pay and 10 weeks half pay
  • Paternity Pay and Shared Parental Leave
  • Fertility & pregnancy loss policy
  • Cycle to work scheme, saving 25-39% on a bike and accessories!
  • Discounted pet treatments
  • Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 365 days a year helpline to support you and your immediate family when you need it the most
  • Discounted UK gym membership with Gym Flex
  • Performance bonus scheme
  • Save as you Earn Scheme (SAYE)
  • Internal career progression and transfers available – with a network of over 500 practices, we can support you should you need to relocate
  • CPD and further studies support and encouragement
  • Vet Oracle - providing specialist reporting and advice for our colleagues in practice
