Join a leading consultancy as a Graduate Ecologist on a 6-month contract. This hybrid role involves conducting ecological surveys, report writing, and liaising with clients. Ideal for recent graduates or those with some experience. Contribute to sustainable communities while enjoying a flexible work environment.
We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Ecologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in ecological consultancy. The role is hybrid, typically requiring at least 3 days in the office or on-site.
As a Graduate Ecologist, you will undertake ecological surveys, including habitat surveys and surveys for legally protected species. Responsibilities also include report writing, liaising with clients, contractors, and the public to support land use and ecology points for BREEM assessments. You will produce habitat and survey plans and carry out Ecological Clerk of Works duties.
You should hold a degree in Ecology or a related subject. Whether you're a recent graduate or have some experience, this position can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with travel to sites and other offices required, so a full driver’s license is essential.
Due to the nature of the work, some tasks may require outside of usual hours, such as night work for bat surveys or early morning/evening site visits for reptile surveys and mitigation.
Experience an inclusive, friendly, and flexible work environment where colleagues are encouraged to grow. Contribute to societal transformation as a trusted consultant to our clients.
If you believe you have the required skills and are eager to join a business offering career progression, we would love to hear from you.
