We are working with an international Freight and Logistics provider, who are currently seeking an experienced Roadfreight Customs Clerk to join their team based in Dagenham.

Requirements:

• Experience within a freight forwarding environment essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of customs procedures and principles
• Experience with Sequoia software advantageous
• Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export
• Dealing with entry queries - commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation requirements etc
• Calculation of Duty and VAT rates per consignment
• Processing duty reclaims
• Maintaining compliance with current and evolving customs legislation
• To be the successful Roadfreight Customs Clerk, you will need to have experience working within a European Logistics of Customs position.
• We are keen to hear from candidates who have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a familiarity of CDS and ASM Sequoia.

Employment basis:

Full time / permanent

Hours: 09:00 to 17:30

Salary: £25k to £30k; depending on experience
