Standard and Audit Manager - Primary Agriculture (Job-Share)

We are delighted to share that a unique opportunity has arisen for a Standard and Audit Manager - Primary Agriculture on a Part-Time basis.

The successful candidate will lead, deliver, and manage the UK and ROI Agri and Produce Upstream Supply Chain Audit Programmes. This includes managing safety, reputational, and legal risks while protecting the brand and building trust with customers.

This role would suit someone with experience in the food industry, alongside risk assessment and risk management exposure.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Governing, managing, and delivering robust upstream supply chain audit programmes (Livestock, Aquaculture, Feed Mills, and Fresh Produce)
  2. Setting, monitoring, and reviewing requirements for upstream supply chain audits and audit providers
  3. Leading and participating in the development of Tesco's due diligence requirements (standards, requirements, etc.) and guidance to support their implementation, by actively engaging with relevant stakeholders
  4. Leading on and continually improving requirements for upstream supply chain due diligence management, including using external latest thinking and internal data
  5. Facilitating, coordinating, managing, and participating in relevant projects to continually drive improvement of internal and external standards and compliance
  6. Leading relationships with, and governance of, industry schemes, and influencing their future direction
  7. Supporting and advising on future upstream supply chain audit strategy development
  8. Supporting incident management activities as appropriate
  9. Following our Business Code of Conduct & acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need:

  1. Degree level or equivalent qualification in a related subject
  2. Extensive experience in the food industry
  3. Managing supplier/service provider relationships
  4. Animal Welfare Auditing / ideally Lead Auditor
  5. Risk assessment and risk management expertise
