Job description

Customer Service Advisor – Travel Money Purley Way (Temp - 14.25 hrs)

Help our customers' holidays get off to a fantastic start as a trusted Travel Money Advisor. You’ll provide excellent service in our in-store Travel Money bureau and be part of our Winning Team, making a real difference.

You’ll represent Travel Money for Sainsbury's Bank, building good relationships with customers and delivering friendly service that encourages repeat business.

Your main task will involve handling currency, so good attention to detail is essential. While you'll have a supportive team around you, you'll often operate the bureau independently, requiring confidence in decision-making.

Previous experience in finance or cash handling is preferred but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training. What matters most is your enthusiasm for helping people, keen eye for detail, and comfort working with large sums of money and figures.

We offer a competitive pay rate and a range of benefits, including:

  • Discount card: 10% off most items in Sainsbury’s, Argos, and Habitat after 4 weeks, with increased discounts during specific periods.
  • Generous holiday entitlement based on hours worked.
  • Family leave: maternity and paternity leave.
  • Pension scheme: Sainsbury’s matches contributions between 4-7%.
  • Sainsbury’s share schemes: options to buy shares at discounted prices and build investments.
  • Wellbeing support: access to mental health apps and confidential assistance services.
  • Colleague networks to foster an inclusive environment.
  • Cycle to work scheme: hire bikes and accessories, saving on taxes.
  • Shopping discounts: special offers on various services and products.

Flexible shift patterns are available, including early, late, and weekend shifts, to fit your schedule.

Applicants must consent to a DBS and credit check due to the role's nature.

Responsibilities

At Sainsbury’s Bank, we value work-life balance and aim to provide meaningful work. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, reflecting the communities we serve, and fostering a culture where everyone can thrive. As part of the Sainsbury’s Group, we offer numerous opportunities for growth and development, putting the customer at the center of everything we do.

About the company

Sainsbury's offers online shopping for groceries, clothing, homewares, electricals, financial services, and more. Our goal is to help everyone eat better.
