Role Details

Location: Aldermaston (Minimum 3-4 days on-site per week required)

Hours: 9-day fortnight pattern (Mon-Fri alternating weeks)

Security Clearance: SC/DV Cleared

About the Role

We're seeking a Site Manager to join our Project & Programme Services team, working on some of the UK's most significant and regulated infrastructure projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional who excels in high-hazard, highly-regulated environments such as nuclear sectors.

The successful candidate will oversee on-site construction activities, coordinate sub-contractors, and ensure all work is conducted safely, on schedule, and to high standards. Collaboration with package and logistics managers will be key to delivering complex projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal project procedures
• Support development and monitoring of project milestones and activity plans
• Report progress through daily logs and monthly project reports
• Oversee cost control and ensure work proceeds according to programme and quality standards
• Identify and manage risks proactively
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, sub-contractors, and facility teams
• Manage document distribution and tracking via CDMS
• Ensure current construction documentation is accessible to all relevant parties

Requirements

• HND (or equivalent) in engineering, construction management, or related discipline
• Membership of a recognized construction-related professional body
• Training in Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management of Subcontractors
• A1 Assessor certification (desirable)
• Proven experience working on nuclear licensed sites or similar regulated high-hazard environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Working Pattern

The role involves a 9-day fortnight with alternating schedules:

• Week 2: Mon-Thu (8.25 hrs/day), Fri off
