Job description

Network & Voice Engineer – Europe

We are seeking a Network & Voice Engineer to join our team, responsible for supporting and enhancing network and telephony infrastructure across our European offices. This role involves maintaining network stability, ensuring secure communications, and optimizing performance across voice, data, and market data services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the European network estate, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Assist with firewall management and internet monitoring to safeguard external communications.
  • Monitor and improve network and data center performance, responding to system alerts proactively.
  • Support voice communication systems, including Cisco PBX, IPC dealer boards, and Mobile Voice Recording.
  • Assist with the administration of Market Data services such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and EBS.
  • Plan and execute network and telephony upgrades, including risk analysis, security considerations, and documentation.
  • Automate processes where possible to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and troubleshoot office Wi-Fi (Cisco Meraki), IPTV, AV, and meeting room technology.
  • Work closely with internal teams, change control, senior management, and third-party vendors to implement solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation reflecting the network environment.
  • Serve as an escalation point for out-of-hours support issues.
  • Conduct site visits to data centers for hands-on support.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including regulatory reporting, billing, and user management.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of IP routing (static and dynamic), DNS, and DHCP.
  • Understanding of network security principles and their application in infrastructure.
  • Experience with Cisco network devices (routers, switches, ISE), Riverbed, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Infoblox, and Cisco Meraki.
  • Familiarity with voice systems such as Cisco CUCM, IPC trader turrets, Mobile Device Management, and Mobile Voice Recording.
  • Experience with Market Data services, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Tradeweb, ICAP, and EBS.
  • Understanding of Cloud connectivity and AI technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are highly desirable.
  • ITIL knowledge is beneficial.
