JOB- Graduate Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION- Cambridge

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Cambridge. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to develop their skills in mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing within a dynamic environment.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within an engineering environment
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, or hands-on engineering projects (desirable)

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

  • Assisting in the design and development of mechanical components and systems
  • Creating 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software
  • Conducting engineering calculations and analysis to ensure design feasibility
  • Supporting the manufacturing and testing of prototypes
