JOB- Graduate Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION- Cambridge

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Cambridge. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to develop their skills in mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing within a dynamic environment.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Eagerness to learn and develop within an engineering environment
Experience with FEA, CFD, or hands-on engineering projects (desirable)

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

Assisting in the design and development of mechanical components and systems
Creating 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software
Conducting engineering calculations and analysis to ensure design feasibility
Supporting the manufacturing and testing of prototypes
Collaborating with engineers on product development and process improvements
Assisting in technical documentation and project reporting
