Qualifications

The Opportunity


We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Solicitor to join our Edinburgh office, where you will become part of a growing legal team engaged in high-profile, meaningful litigation.

A training contract will be provided, giving you the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland while developing your legal career in a purpose-driven, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with legal research, drafting, and case preparation
  • Supporting litigation teams with document management and court filings
  • Attending client meetings, court hearings, and strategic case discussions
  • Working on large-scale group actions and public interest litigation
  • Collaborating with colleagues across our international offices

Candidate Requirements

  • You must hold a Scottish LLB and Scots Law degree (2:1, or have legal experience if degree is of a lower classification) andCompletion of (or current enrolment in) the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (DPLP) is preferred
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
  • A genuine interest in litigation and social access to justice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent attention to detail
