Job description

As the foremost supplier of quality special needs staffing solutions in the UK, Axcis Education continues to grow and we are therefore looking to expand our Devon, Dorset & Cornwall team, based in Exeter, and appoint an Associate Education Consultant to further strengthen the team.

About You: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to pursue a career in recruitment and wants to join a company that celebrates success and supports you on your journey to get there. The Associate Consultant training programme is a 6-month training programme designed to cover all aspects of the 360-recruitment cycle. All we ask is you have the drive to succeed with a great work ethic. We’ll help you with everything else so by the end of the 6-month programme you’ll be fully equipped to manage your own portfolio of candidates and clients.

Responsibilities:
  1. Resourcing teachers and teaching assistants for job roles
  2. Searching job sites for CVs and attending career fairs
  3. Utilising the company database to recruit candidates
  4. Writing job adverts to attract candidates
  5. Interviewing candidates in person, online and off-site on registration days
  6. Liaising with the Education Consultants to ensure these candidates are placed out to work
  7. Writing candidate profiles

Once you are confident to move to the next stage you will then begin your client training. This will consist of:

  1. Visiting schools with colleagues
  2. Positive marketing of candidates
  3. Client business development and lead generation
  4. Developing new client relationships and account managing existing ones

Our Associate Consultant training programme is adapted to suit individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to anyone who is ambitious and wants to be given a chance to prove their worth. Someone who has a positive attitude with a willingness to learn. You must be presentable, proficient on the computer and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. As this is a sales role, previous sales experience is preferable but anyone who can demonstrate impeccable customer service with a strong work ethic will be considered. Whilst knowledge of special needs and/or education is an advantage, it’s not essential as full sector training will be provided.

  1. Competitive basic salary - starting at £26k dependent upon experience
  2. Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (shift patterns between 7am and 6pm)
