Job Requirement

This post is only available to all permanent and temporary employees and agency workers currently on assignment within East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note this post is temporary to cover maternity leave for six months or until the current post holder returns.

Please note you will be asked to provide the names of two referees when you apply for this post, these are not required

You should print off the role profile and Head Teachers report and give them to your Head Teacher for completion.

To ensure your application is accepted, it is essential that the Head Teacher report is signed by and emailed from the Head Teacher who has completed the report, to the email address below.

It is also important to include the (EAD) reference number of the post on the report form.

The report should then be submitted by the Head Teacher who completed your report to:

office@douglas.e-dunbarton.sch.uk, prior to the closing date.

Failure to do so may result in your application being excluded from shortlisting.

PVG/ Disclosure Scotland

Where the role is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation.

Successful candidates will bear the cost of the check, which will be deducted from their first salary payment. In some cases, deductions may be made in installments following employment start, subject to approval by the HR & OD Manager.

If an employee leaves before the deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.

This criteria applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
