Job description

Clark Wood are delighted to be partnering with a modern independent firm of accountants on the outskirts of Tamworth who are looking for a Mixed Tax Manager to join their growing team.

The role will offer the chance to work directly underneath the tax partner, shadowing and gaining experience from one of Warwickshire’s most recognised Tax partners in a mixed compliance and advisory capacity.

The firm operates a highly successful and rewarding hybrid working policy where staff are only expected to attend the office once a week and the rest of the role can be performed from home.

This role offers a unique blend of compliance and advisory work, and will offer the chance to assist the Tax partner in various exciting tax planning projects and ad hoc work. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to optimize their financial positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and manage the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring timely compliance with deadlines.
  2. Provide advisory services on complex tax issues, including personal tax planning, estate planning, mergers, and acquisitions.
  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and its implications for clients.
  4. Develop strong relationships with clients, offering insights and guidance to help them navigate their tax obligations.
  5. Collaborate with the wider team to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
  6. Mentor and support junior staff members in their professional development.
Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.

Experience in both compliance and Tax planning projects.
