Hill International is looking for a Construction Manager with relevant experience in oil and gas refineries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in oil and gas construction
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside of the organisation and across different cultures.
- Proven abilities in leadership, engaging, developing, and motivating teams in a challenging environment
- Able to make decisions and drive decision processes
- The candidate should be eligible to work in UK as well
Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of the EPC Contractor(s) to ensure the correctness and completeness of construction works as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements.
- Maintain a record of the EPC Contractor(s) submittals and control the submittals/correspondence regarding Construction Works received from the EPC Contractor(s) in a timely manner.
- Control and manage Construction Supervisor Engineers of the Project Management Team with respect to Construction aspects.
- Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession request submitted by the EPC Contractor(s) for Company's approval.
- Attend all meetings with EPC Contractor(s), his sub-contractors and Company's Meetings.
- Ensure that project scope is followed in the EPC / Execution Phase
- Create a construction estimate based on a material takeoff (MTO)
- Manage the construction project budget
- Create a construction project management plan
- Overview and ensure the construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones
- Manage resources such as construction materials, construction workers and equipment
- Allocate and manage resource logistics
- Create status reports for project stakeholders
- Oversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction team
- Ensure all permits, licenses are issued and meet code regulations
- Coordinating work activities with EPC Contractor project / engineering / construction managers, as well as subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring and managing Contractor performance and adherence to safety regulations
- Maintain health and safety standards
- Monitoring project milestones and schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget constraints
- Estimating costs for labour and materials needed for construction
- Ensuring that all workers follow safety regulations at all times
- Evaluating EPC Contractor performance and disciplining or terminating employees when necessary
- Ensuring that all construction works in the project are conducted in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
- Overseeing Contractors’ work on projects to ensure that it meets all relevant standards
- Managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of the project
