Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Answering queries from customers via the phone or email professionally and efficiently.
  2. Responding to customers requests for analysis results, invoices and other general enquiries.
  3. Updating customer details when requested by the customer or internal team member.
  4. Booking, and then tracking, couriers to ensure samples are collected on time from customers and sample boxes are returned. Ensuring all courier and sample paperwork is accurate.
  5. Working alongside the Customer Services Manager and Accounts to submit invoices, purchase order numbers and reports.
  6. Receiving and distributing the post, whilst also ensuring the external post is franked.
  7. Building and maintaining good working relationships with team members.
  8. Assisting with storage and collection of samples from the laboratory.
  9. Accurately inputting information from other companies to ensure the production of certificates.
  10. Creation of forage packs to be sent to customers for their return of samples to the laboratory for analysis.
  11. Greeting new and existing customers and building relationships to develop the business.

Requirements for the role:

  1. Previous experience in a customer service and office environment.
  2. Excellent organisational skills, including organising own workload.
  3. Good Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  4. Transport - Due to our semi-rural location, a personal means of transport will be essential.
