Are you looking for a meaningful work opportunity in your home? Become a Host Home / Shared Living provider with Mosaic at Home! You can earn an average annual income of $47,000 (federally tax-free) plus monthly rent/household expenses. You must reside in Kansas (due to state funding) and own or rent your home.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Shared Living Providers to offer personalized support to individuals with unique preferences in our community. The ideal candidate will create a comfortable and engaging environment tailored to each individual's needs. We currently have several community members seeking home providers. Would you be interested in helping them find their forever home?

Meet the Individuals
  • Male client #1: Enthusiastic Denver Broncos fan who enjoys traveling, especially to visit his brother in Wichita. Support includes baking, watching TV, dining out (preferably burgers), companionship, and sharing breakfast and coffee in the morning.
  • Male client #2: Creative homebody who enjoys outdoor time under a tree. Needs a basement room in a quiet location to support his passion for drawing and creative expression.
  • Male client #3: Enjoys walks, attending church, and visiting family. Needs assistance maintaining a clean living space and prefers a quiet environment. He would do well with a family without children, valuing privacy.
  • Female client #1: Values calmness and privacy, prefers a quiet environment. Needs encouragement to go out while respecting her alone time. Seeks a patient individual or a mother with a small family as her provider.

Role and Responsibilities

As a home provider, you share your home with an individual with a disability. Your responsibilities include maintaining a safe, healthy environment, mentoring, and assisting with daily living tasks. You help cultivate life skills and foster independence, matching interests and lifestyles. Activities include support at home and in the community, with support levels varying from minimal assistance (budgeting, medication, transportation, daily tasks) to full support (dressing, toileting, feeding, behavioral support). Income is based on support level.

  • Support tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, decision-making
  • Skill acquisition
  • Medication management
  • Attending medical appointments
  • Supporting overall health and well-being
  • Documenting via web-based case management (THERAP)
  • Providing community inclusion, socialization, and leisure activities
  • Adhering to policies and procedures
  • Effective communication with team members
  • Supporting physical needs and transportation
  • Assisting with bathing, toileting, feeding, behavioral support
  • Supporting medical protocols (seizures, falls, feeding tubes, etc.)
  • Caring for individuals with complex physical or medical needs
  • Potential behavioral support
Requirements
  • Residency in the state of service
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, current registration
  • Active home/renters insurance
  • Own or rent a residence
  • At least 18 years old
  • Experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable computer and internet access
  • Complete all mandated training
  • Safe, clean environment
  • Ability to pass background checks (State/Federal, APS/CPS)
