Job Summary:

We are hiring a Trade Compliance Lawyer with 5+ years’ experience in trade compliance law, including sanctions, to serve as a subject matter expert in the EMEA region. The Trade Compliance Counsel—EMEA plays a vital role in ensuring Accenture’s compliance with international trade control laws in EMEA, assisting our Legal team and business units in understanding trade and export control risks, compliance, and program controls. This role supports business stakeholders on transactional trade compliance matters in client contracts and trade-related reviews of services and offerings. It is also responsible for developing and delivering trade compliance training, awareness materials, tools, templates, resources, and guidance documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain trade compliance programs in EMEA, including:
    • Developing and delivering trade compliance training.
    • Reviewing and implementing trade policies and internal controls.
    • Planning and drafting trade compliance communications with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior management and outside counsel to conduct risk assessments, recommend improvements, and support implementation.
  • Build trade compliance and monitoring tools to help executives identify and mitigate trade-related risks.
  • Provide practical advice to businesses and Legal professionals regarding trade/export laws, the Code of Business Ethics, and related policies.
  • Work with Legal and business teams in EMEA to identify, analyze, and mitigate trade risks and conduct localized training on trade/export law issues.
  • Respond to internal audits, investigations, and government inquiries related to trade/export law in EMEA.
