Role profile:

As an RTMDS (RealTime Managed Distribution System) Market Data Engineer, you will play an essential role in developing the largest RTDS market data environment in the world.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Engine core functionality and client solutions for LSEG hosted market data platforms.
• Develop configurations, automation and deliver infrastructure.
• Consult with both internal teams and customers.
• Developing solutions from requirements to customer live and beyond. Ensure ongoing compliance to LSEG standards and process.
• Delivery to customers with excellence, reliability, sustainable and predictability.
• To achieve success, the candidate will need to be committed, driven, accountable, creative, and work well in a team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Developing a private cloud hosting many hundreds of customers who historically led their own market data networks who will be both knowledgeable and expecting excellent service.
• You'll be involved in platform management ensuring compliance to company standards and within vendor supported criteria.
• Maintaining YAML and JSON based configuration to handle deployments.
• Developing Python and Ansible solutions to automate systems delivery and operation.
• Working with development teams and engineering teams to produce complex automation to deliver mass infrastructure.
• Working with core development teams to deliver functionality and resolve issues with LSEG products.
• Working with QE teams to perform robust releases and maintain CI pipelines into production.
• Evolving hardware and Operating system for stability and functionality.
• Ensuring monitoring is in place and support teams can operate the infrastructure with tools like BigPanda, ITRS and ServiceNow.
• Consult with core architect to achieve strategic designs and directives.
• Work with network teams to provide WAN and LAN delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Knowledge of Market data in the financial sector and experience delivering solutions. Domain authority on LSEG products such as RTDS ADH, ADS, DACS and ATS. Experience with networks and server hardware. In-depth knowledge of RHEL and tuning for optimal performance. Experience with automating and building infrastructures.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Kubernetes or similar. Workflow tools such as ServiceNow and Jira. Development tools such as Git, DX1 and Python.
• Nice to have experience of automated testing packages, such as Robot and TestRail, server virtualization and public cloud.
• Must be inclusive, a great teammate and owner of delivery. You will need to be a leader to delivery teams, operations, and partners.
