Finance Business Analyst - Financial Services - £100,000 per annum

My client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. They are a large trading firm located in London. This is a highly analytical Business Analyst role within a treasury function, supporting the implementation of a new Treasury Management System. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the treasury team and broader finance functions to improve reporting capabilities, especially concerning FX, interest rates, liquidity, margining, and collateral data. This role is data-heavy and involves tracing data across systems, understanding data lineage, and translating proof-of-concepts (POCs) into robust, production-ready reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Python. The individual will serve as a bridge between technical treasury users and IT delivery teams, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness in reporting requirements and systems integration.

Salary: £100,000

Location: Liverpool Street

Office Work: 3 Days Per Week

Key Skills Required:

• Strong analytical background with a deep understanding of financial data related to FX, interest rates, liquidity, margining, and collateral from a finance/accounting perspective.
• Proven experience in treasury, finance, or tax functions, with exposure to enterprise data systems and reference data.
• Proficiency in Power BI, with working knowledge of Alteryx and Python.
• Experience with Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation.
• Ability to trace and source data across complex systems, mapping data lineage and dependencies.
• Strong business analysis skills — documenting processes, building backlogs, defining requirements, and working with IT teams.
