Senior Authorised Person

Summary

Freedom Power Solutions is currently recruiting a Senior Authorised Engineer / Senior Authorised Person, ideally authorised up to 33kV, but must be qualified for 11kV.

The primary responsibility is to provide SAP services on various Power Solutions projects and maintenance contracts, including wind, solar, energy from waste, and private industrial networks. This is a great opportunity to join an established, yet growing team operating across the UK.

Due to the requirement of working on Wind Farms, relevant climbing tickets/qualifications (GWO) are necessary, or you should be prepared to undertake the relevant training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing voltage levels of 11kV and above.
  • Covering geographical areas in Midlands and South of England.
  • Working mainly on Wind Farms and Private Network clients such as Airports, Factories, Public Buildings, and Universities.
  • Taking responsibility for the customer's private HV network, providing switching services, and issuing permits to meet customer needs and contractual obligations.
  • Undertaking hands-on maintenance activities and managing small remedial or project works in remote locations.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience with Wind Farms and Private Networks.
  • Authorised as an 11kV SAP capable of working on networks.
  • Willing to participate in rota and regional call-outs.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, often away from the office on remote Wind Farms.
  • Desirable: Asbestos UKARTA course, Confined Spaces certification.
