Job description

At OFG, we work smarter so you can spend more time doing what makes you happy!

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four?

Our colleagues' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we're always looking for new ways to improve everyone's work/life balance. We're taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or the equivalent).

4DWW will be rolled out within our school when we have a full complement of staff, within the next year - so there's never been a more exciting time to join us.

Become a Teaching Assistant at Park School, part of Acorn Education, and start working towards your career goals.
  • Role: Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH
  • Salary: GBP 22,300 per annum (not pro-rata)
  • Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

Park School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 7 to 18, catering for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide dedicated teamwork to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Park School, Shipton-under-Wychwood, with possible involvement at the main site in Chipping Norton.

The opportunity

Enjoy a rewarding career and make a real impact on pupils' lives. Join an amazing team making our schools and classrooms supportive, enriching places where vulnerable pupils achieve more than they expected.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will connect directly with pupils and young people, helping them get the best from their education. You will assist in preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and supporting their emotional and physical needs.

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs is rewarding, and you will benefit from support from our experienced teams. Your work will have a direct, positive impact on their development.

Who we are looking for

You should be adaptable, ready to work in various classroom roles indoors and outdoors, based on individual needs. If you enjoy teamwork and sharing knowledge, please complete our safeguarding-compliant application form.

Acorn Education, part of Outcomes First Group, is a leading provider of specialist education, committed to positive outcomes and recognized as a 'Great Place to Work'.

Why Join Acorn Education?

We are dedicated to safeguarding pupils and young people; all applicants will undergo social media checks and DBS clearance.

Note: You will work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, supporting work-life balance. This is subject to probation and is not a contractual benefit.
