Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and implementation of the KS3 Maths curriculum.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing timely intervention and support when required.
• Support the professional development of the Maths department by sharing best practices and providing guidance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement and enthusiasm for maths.
• Establish effective communication channels with parents and stakeholders to ensure the progress and welfare of students.
• Participate in the school's extra-curricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths at KS3 level.
• Excellent knowledge of the KS3 Maths curriculum and assessment practices.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to coordinate the Maths department effectively.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential in Maths.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• A passion for education and a commitment to ensuring the success of all students.
• Experience working in a similar role and/or within a high-performing school is desirable.
