Job Summary:

The successful Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for various healthcare fit-out and refurbishment projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial success of their projects, from initial tender through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.
2. Cost Analysis: Analyse project requirements and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.
3. Vendor Liaison: Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
4. Documentation: Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and tender documentation.
5. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
6. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
7. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, and project costs.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating processes.

Requirements:

1. Education: Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
2. Experience: Experience in estimating within the fit-out or construction industry.
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
4. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
5. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
