An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Hair, Beauty and Creative for an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Digital Games Design.
Due to the nature of delivery, you will be expected to possess a broad range of skills and knowledge linked to Digital Games Design. Although not essential, it is desirable to have a degree in a relevant Computing or Games Development subject, and/or relevant industry experience.
You will need to be familiar with industry-standard software such as Unreal Engine, Blender, Z-Brush, Maya, and Adobe Creative Cloud related to game design. A good understanding of traditional art and concept art skills, the games design process, and the games asset pipeline (modeling, texturing, and game engines) is highly desirable. You will be involved in delivering the contextual research and evaluation aspects of the UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media in Game Design.
You should be well qualified and experienced in your professional field, and ideally hold a teaching qualification. Exceptional graduates may also be considered. We seek an individual who is student-centered, with the drive to complete tasks with integrity and high standards of quality.
You will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team providing high-quality teaching and learning at the New Bedford Road Campus.
Applicants must be strong team players and proactive in their approach. The successful candidate must also promote, support, and embed English and Maths skills in delivery.
This is a fixed-term position working approximately 13.5 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
