Under the Digital First strategy, Wealth & Personal Banking UK is transitioning from a data-rich to data-driven organization; the Data and Analytics department is central to this transformation. The department delivers data analytics, machine learning (ML), and management information used to measure, automate, and improve business performance.

The Lead Decisioning Architect - Pega role is within the Data and Messaging Team, supporting HSBC UK (including HSBC, first direct, and M&S Bank).

In this role, you will:

  • Support all UK Pega instances within the UK CRM Systems Team and act as an architect to implement comprehensive decision strategies for customer interactions across all channels.
  • Configure the Next-Best-Action Designer to optimize customer engagement through personalized experiences and ensure the Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) matches business requirements.
  • Operate across all phases of the application systems project lifecycle, applying business knowledge and technical skills.
  • Design and develop new channels, analyze channel performance, and identify opportunities for commercialization and innovation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective decisioning solutions, interacting with enterprise architects and translating requirements into strategy design.

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive experience with the Pega Platform, including enterprise software implementation and familiarity with Pega Customer Decision Hub or Decision Management.
  • Experience leading complex decisioning implementation projects with a deep understanding of CRM, contact strategy, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience in analysis, requirement gathering, design, and development of decisioning-based application systems.
  • Knowledge of the campaign management lifecycle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively and influence stakeholders.

This is a hybrid working role based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Chester, or Leeds.
