About the role

We seek a highly experienced Active Directory SME to lead the design, security, optimization, and governance of our global AD infrastructure, supporting our enterprise identity and access management strategy. You will be part of an elite cyber operation at a renowned logistics company, making a meaningful impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive successful technical delivery, increasing capability and reducing risk.
  • Manage technical debt and communicate trade-offs to the Service Owner.
  • Ensure implementation quality and adherence to procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers on design specifications and operational solutions.
  • Remove impediments and reduce bureaucracy for the team.
  • Lead continuous service improvement for AD performance and health.
  • Extract data and generate reports to identify improvement opportunities and reduce risk.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and code.
  • Build relationships with architects, engineers, vendors, and industry experts.
  • Define scope, assess technical viability, and design solutions.
  • Guide Solution Architects in development.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues.
  • Partner with Product Owners to align technical capabilities with business needs.
  • Develop cross-team implementation strategies.
  • Share best practices and mentor team members.
  • Contribute to company-wide standards and policies.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in architecting, administering, and securing enterprise Active Directory environments.
  • Expertise in AD Forest and Domain design, DNS, FSMO roles, and troubleshooting replication.
  • Experience with AD migration, consolidation, and complex organization integration.
  • Knowledge of system integration using modern technologies (e.g., REST APIs, MS Graph API).
  • Skills in configuring Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Privileged Access Workstations.
  • Strong automation skills with Microsoft AD functions.
  • Proficiency in writing clean, reusable, and efficient code.
  • Deep understanding of identity and access management protocols.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s AD infrastructure and security.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based document management products.
