An established industry player is seeking a passionate Transport Safety Educational Officer to enhance road safety through engaging educational programs. This role involves working closely with schools and community groups to deliver workshops and training sessions aimed at reducing road-related incidents. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and presentation skills, is passionate about road safety and community engagement, and has experience in education, training, or public outreach. The ideal candidate holds a relevant qualification or experience in road safety, education, or transport. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively with different stakeholders, and be proactive, adaptable, and creative in their approach to education.
As a Transport Safety Educational Officer, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering engaging educational programs that promote safe road use. Working closely with schools, businesses, and community groups, you will provide training sessions, workshops, and campaigns aimed at reducing road-related incidents.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
