The team

The Financial Crime Compliance Team (FCC Team) is part of Saffery's broader risk management framework, supporting the new client onboarding function.

This role is based in either Bristol or High Wycombe, with the requirement to commute to the London office two to three times a month (travel costs covered). Additional office days will be in your home office.

The role

The successful candidate will work with high accuracy on processes including:

  1. Completing client due diligence in line with AML regulations.
  2. Conducting research using third-party tools for KYC procedures and risk analysis.
  3. Documenting and analyzing KYC information to validate client data and assess risks.
  4. Interacting with stakeholders to obtain missing or non-public information.
  5. Managing KYC ongoing monitoring processes, escalating issues as needed.

You

The ideal candidate will have experience in client onboarding/CDD, preferably within a mid-to-large accountancy or professional services firm (e.g., legal sector). Essential attributes include:

  • At least two years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and processes.
  • Experience working with senior staff/partners.
  • Ability to work independently and apply previous knowledge.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with IT applications including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet KPIs and deadlines.
  • Capacity to understand complex information and articulate it clearly.

  • 35-hour workweek with flexible core hours (10am-4pm).
