Join Better Cotton as a Standards Senior Coordinator, where you will coordinate, support, and help innovate our standards, with a strong focus on our Chain of Custody Standard. You will support the standards team in all related work, work towards innovations to make our Chain of Custody Standard future-proof, and support the team with general standards-related tasks.
We seek an engaging, visionary yet pragmatic coordinator who values standards and enjoys complex tasks. If you have experience in stakeholder and project management, standard setting and revisions, and a passion for promoting effective and sustainable supply chains, we would love to hear from you.
Two years after launching our Chain of Custody Standard and traceability initiatives, we are now focused on monitoring and enhancing the standard to uphold our values, incorporate learnings, and ensure it remains fit for purpose as Better Cotton transitions to a certification scheme. In the medium to long term, we aim to innovate the standard to make Better Cotton future-proof, respond to market shifts, legal requirements, ensure supply chain due diligence, and maintain our position as a preferred sourcing option.
You will collaborate with relevant teams to oversee and improve our Chain of Custody Standard, helping to build a solid foundation for Better Cotton operations worldwide.
As a Standards Senior Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Essential: Experience with supply chain certification and traceability, understanding of legal and market needs in cotton or similar commodities, knowledge of voluntary standard systems, experience with standard setting procedures (including ISEAL), stakeholder management, project coordination, analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable: Experience with Chain of Custody Standards, sustainability in agricultural supply chains, higher education in a relevant field, and additional language skills such as French, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Mandarin, Hindi, or Urdu.
