About Our Client

Our client is a large public sector organisation that provides central government organisations with essential services. With a workforce of over 2,000, it operates from multiple sites across the UK, including a significant presence in Sheffield.

Job Description

  • Performing financial procedures, such as invoicing, coding and matching.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Communicating financial information to non-financial staff in a clear and understandable manner.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Administrator should have:

  • Prior experience in a transactional finance position.
  • Or a degree or AAT qualification.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in a similar role within the public sector is beneficial but not essential.

  • An hourly salary range of around £13 per hour.
  • 6 month contract with the opportunity for extension
